| 4 of the 12 Apostles |

The unusual shaped bump -
shouldn't really be there... |
No rest for the wicked on the GOR. A quick cup of tea/Nesquick (for those
that don’t know, Tony isn’t the biggest fan of coffee/tea) on Johanna Beach was
followed by tearing down and up the Gibson Steps (spotting only 4 of the 12
Apostles).
 |
| Hanging out at the Grotto |
We then headed to our first visit to the Grotto, before heading
inland and up into the Grampians. Stopped off for an impromptu lunch at Mt
Sturge(on) and Mt Abrupt, and then enjoyed a leisurely afternoon drive into
Halls Gap.

| Great name for a mountain! |

| Mt Abrupt |

| Fire, beer and food. Good friends! |
Rich and Becky provided
fire, food, beers and camping spot, but it wasn’t long before we set about
trying to assist the Beaut’s clearance and ease off on the ol’ suspension by
tucking into a few bottles of recent acquisitions in Victoria’s wine
counties…
Key learnings:
 |
| Rich. King of Fire |
1. Ray’s Outdoors stocks a good standard length pole for a 2-person Salewa
tent. Not as light, or sturdy (even though it had just broken…) bit of kit, but
it works. At the moment.
2. Tony needs to learn how
to make fire. Enter Rich.
Key learning 3. If it can't be fixed with gaffa tape, it can't be fixed.
