| Our humble set up from here on in... |
Rich had to get back for the Hawks Vs Cats, so it was time for our final
goodbye to members of the Melbourne crew. For those of you who don’t already
know, Annaliza isn’t the best with goodbyes (she famously cried after 3 days at
a hotel in Fiji when the serving girls sang us a leaving song!) – as a result
we’d maybe overdone it with multiple leaving events…

Just the two of us with the Beaut, Rhino Rack and contents for company from
here on in – the travelling proper was about to commence. We still had another
night in the Grampians though, but with the weather very changeable all day our
walking plans fell by the wayside…

| Lake Bellfield - nasty weather approaching... |
Instead, we planned out the first cut of the
next 7 weeks road trip – on reflection probably better to have done before
leaving (another item on Tony’s to do list that he didn’t quite get to!) – but
relief all round when our plans got us to Darwin in time for the flight!
Key learnings
1.
Don’t put ripped up magazines on the fire – they have the tendency to fly
away in little hot shards, which could be dangerous…
