After a last breakfast on Gertrude Street, fitting our lives for the next 9 weeks into the Beaut proved more time consuming than anticipated... The final touches to cleaning our Collingwood abode and saying goodbye was tough, more so upon discovering numerous items that should have been shipped (Ooops!)

Great Ocean Road, prior to

We enjoyed the sun going down on the Great Ocean Road but then didn't especially enjoy the bad weather descending - putting up the tent in gale force winds on Johanna Beach was problematic, and resulted in a broken tent pole and not one but two punctures to the fly sheet. Great start...

Key learnings:

1. Don't try and get accommodation on the Great Ocean Road on the night you want to stay there during Easter. Not going to happen...

2. If the tent is broken, don't try a clever fix, just get through the night...
