First breakfast at the resort, and it did not disappoint – buffet time!
Made the call that it was so extensive that we’d try and cope with two meals a
day and really load up in the morning…

With bloated bellies, we got around 30 minutes of sunshine before the
clouds and rain descended. As we’d already realised, our timing in Phuket was
at the start of the rainy season – it now made a lot more sense why we’d got
such a good deal!

Was nice to relax though, and not have to worry about getting from A to B
in the Beaut. Took advantage of the free bus to the local beach (although
decided we wouldn’t catch it back, as it was only a 20 minute walk – we hadn’t
got quite that lazy yet!) for our first, but definitely not last, experience
with the street stall merchants. Got serenaded by a local musician during
dinner, then back to the hotel after a tough day…

Key Learnings:
1. Always carefully check the weather before choosing to stay somewhere for 8
days straight!
