After finalising a bit more admin
in the comfort of being surrounded by
solid walls, we headed out to see more of the awesome beaches surrounding
Esperance. Awesome is definitely the appropriate word – we didn’t do much more
than wander down to the sand and dip our toes in the surf, but felt extra
special given the distance we’d travelled for the pleasure!

After completing the Great Ocean Drive (not quite in the same league as the
Great Ocean Road, but still pretty cool) it was a brief stint on the road to
Cape Le Grand National Park. After setting up the tent, we wrapped up warm and
hit the beach to watch the sun go down and enjoy some champers (thanks CRG!).
Anything said here won’t do the place justice, so hope you enjoy the pictures.

Key Learnings
1. Don’t set up the camera
and tripod on an Ant’s nest. In fact, look for ants before settling it down
anywhere.
