| If only we could have a tent this big.! |
Woke up to gloomy wet weather, so didn’t spend long visiting the pretty Green Pool and Elephant rocks near Denmark (if anyone is ever in this vicinity, be advised that the Elephant rocks only really look any good at low tide – only realised this when we saw a photo after the event!). Instead it was quickly into tall timber country, first stop the karri skywalk. Never fills you with confidence when you see workmen wielding massive tools on a structure you’re relying on to keep you alive… Fortunately got to the other side without a scratch!

After having built up the anticipation for it, was very frustrating to miss
our milometer indicating 234567km travelled (yes, simple pleasures for simple
minds!). Oh well. The tides didn’t let
us see the Mandalay wreck at Mandalay beach, but this time it wasn’t expected
as it’s only visible every 10 years or so. We chose not to hang around…

Key Learnings
1. Climbing tall timber trees requires focus on both your hands and feet. Hands is fine but when looking at your feet, the glimpse of the ground far below is sure to make the heart beat a little faster
